I am a native of Arizona and graduated a proud Sun Devil from Arizona State University with a degree in Construction Management. After working in the construction industry for a while, I decided to make a radical career shift and pursue medicine. I completed a post-baccalaureate program and then medical school at the University of Louisville in Kentucky. Residency brought me back home and I completed my training in Emergency Medicine at Maricopa Medical Center (now Valleywise Health) in Phoenix. I practiced the last couple of years post-residency in a small, rural emergency department on the Gila River Indian Reservation. It was through residency and post-residency experiences that I discovered his true passion in Addiction Medicine. In order to pursue this further, I received additional training in Addiction Medicine through the HonorHealth/CBI fellowship program and staffed an Addiction Medicine clinic on the Gila River Indian Reservation. My clinical interests include acute and long-term recovery from substance use as well as exploring the ever-changing and exciting new therapeutic modalities in the field of Addiction Medicine. Outside of medicine I enjoys time with my wife and three boys. For me the perfect day consists of spending time on the golf course or at a local lake followed by indulging in some street tacos.
